Strength Training

TOTAL FOCUS STRENGTH TRAINING is the landmark Athlete Development Program (ADP) for serious athletes in the greater Pittsburgh area. Sessions combine all qualities of athleticism into intense 90 minute workouts. Athletes who enter this program make a commitment towards moving better, getting stronger, and elevating their level of play.

Each workout includes all 8 components of The FOCUS System, a patented blueprint implemented and proven on over 1,000 athletes. Athletes will learn movements skills, explosive jumping, and strength training with weights. This level of program is designed for competitive athletes who want to achieve and maintain top physical condition before, during, and after their sport season.

NOTE: While sessions take place inside a weight room concentrating on strength and power, workouts also have dedicated time towards speed training. The best modes of speed development are established and improved in the weight room. Keep in mind… stronger athlete = faster athlete.

Each athlete, prior to acceptance into the program, goes though ’The Simple 7‘ athleticism assessment. The evaluation highlights strength and weaknesses and lays the foundation for program design. Athletes are provided an athlete binder with weekly workouts, advice from the FOCUS advisory team, and a calendar for planning. The athlete binder is our holy grail… you keep this updated and with you all the time.

Strength training with weights is becoming more involved and accepted at the high school level. Schools are realizing the many benefits of strong and prepared athletes.

Parents of young athletes must understand that if their son or daughter participates in high school sports, lifting weights will be required. Don’t let them show up unprepared. The biggest cause of injury is lack of proper instruction by a professional. Weight training is safe when introduced and performed correctly!

Let’s be honest:

You’re looking for a program that’s designed, coached, and achieves results for strength, speed, and power.

My experience with Olympians and professional athletes serve as guidance for youth populations, but these aren’t the athletes I work with. Our efforts concentrate on the development of high school athletes.

I’m in the trenches just like you. My office is the weight room and field. We’re working with the same athletes.. facing the same limitations.. striving for the same results.

We’re working to provide athletes with every opportunity. Making the team, seeing the field, coming off the bench, preparing for varsity, or winning state titles.

Maybe even trying to get an athletic scholarship.

Let’s work together. Let me help you avoid the mistakes I’ve made and avoid all the pitfalls. Let me show you a better way that makes a ton more sense.

TOTAL FOCUS STRENGTH TRAINING is intended for those who want to cut through all the crap and be successful.
